Movie Review : Chello Divas

  Chhello Divas: The New beginning The final day of college life.

A watchable Guajarati movie with humorous / Comic scenes of college friends.

 

Introduction:

Chhello Divas (2015) directed by Krishnadev Yagnik is a light hearted comedy movie with some really good punches. The movie revolves around the college life of eight friends and their journey of graduation. After watching it I think Gujarati cinema taking the steps forward with big budget films and a full-fledged theatrical releases all over India like Chal Jivi Laia and  Shu Thayu?

Outline of the Story:

The plot start with the car accident of one of the friend Vickey (Malhar Thakar) and The film then shows the entire story in the flash back with all of them college life memories of Nikhil (Yash Soni), Loy (Mitra Ghadhvi) Dhula (Aarjan Trivedi), Dev (Rahul Raval), Pooja (Janki Bodiwala), Nisha (Kinjal Rajpriya) Isha (Naitri Trivedi) and many other minor characters to brings out the happiness of student life with liveliness.

Not only this but their family scenes also bringing the lightness in the atmosphere with light humor. Each and every event brings out the fun and naïve nature, friendship of students. In the climax Vickey recovers from his injury and all are happy to see him safe and sound.

 

Evaluation:

 This movie has all sort of drama like friendship, romance, and emotions. It has only few songs but they are heart touching. Also background score is very good. Talking about this movie, I had enjoyed a lot while watching and relive that college time memories again. The dialogues are truly Gujju which will be stay back with you till long as you can relate them with the day to day situation.

When we talk about the technical aspect there are some flaws in the movie, the background score was too over and some scenes looks too over dramatic because of that. Though the film has many comic scenes but the café scene, classroom scene, nikhil’s birthday scene and the humor at Nisha’s home take the standard high.


And yes that dialogue is an epic one... “Te mara mate coffee kem mangayi??”

 

 

Conclusion:

Overall it was a brilliant effort to make such a good cinema. Will look forward for more good movies from this industry. You can relive your college life after watching bit and if you haven’t went to college then too it makes you to feel like one.

 

Suggestion:

If you are looking for overall full package comedy film then you must watch it.
