SPEECH OF AN EMPLOYEE ON HIS OWN FAREWELL FUNCTION

 

Good Evening Everyone!

 

Thank you for this wonderful farewell that has been arranged for me and I am truly moved by this gesture. I feel privileged to be a part of this reputed company for all these years and would like to continue my journey here but unfortunately as I have reached a retiring age I will have to leave this prestigious company and all my colleagues cum friends.

 

I want everyone here to know that this place is the reason I have become the person I am today. I have learned everything that I needed to learn, and more, from this wonderful job, my colleagues and experience. I want to thank this organization, but particularly my Senior Mr. Khan for giving me the space to grow, for allowing me to make my own decisions, and then learning from my own mistakes, and for honing my personality to a point where I have developed a strong faith in my own abilities. So thank you Mr. Khan and all my colleagues for supporting and inspiring me to do my best.

 

As I move to a different life from tomorrow giving more time to my family and friends and I am really luck to find a very supportive family and friends, I would like to say that I will miss all of you here, the positive work environment, the gossips in the canteen during lunch break, working on different projects with various teams and the celebrations after the successful completion of projects. I will always cherish all these sweet memories I have collected here all my life. Thank you everyone.
