SPEECH ON FATHER’S DAY (SOCIAL SPEECH)

SPEECH ON FATHER’S DAY (SOCIAL SPEECH)

Good morning everyone. Today on this special day that is ‘Father’s Day’ I take this opportunity to express my views on father. My main focus behind this speech is that the efforts of a Father must be acknowledged. He is a person who stands by our side no matter what. He loves his children unconditionally and the beauty of the relationship is that he does it all without demanding anything in return. The love and affection that is hidden in each of his acts is tremendously blissful. There’s nothing in the Universe that can give as much pleasure as does the love of a father gives. He should be admired for what he does for everyone in the family. He is one of the most influential people of our life. No matter what, he will keep protecting you.

A father is a creator, saviour, supporter for a child. A father may not express his feelings and love openly like a mother but all his efforts are directed towards giving a better life to his children. At times he may appear tough or heartless when he scolds his children but there is always a feeling of love and care behind these hard words and he wishes best for his children. A mother plays an important role in moulding a character of a child while a father plays an important role in shaping a child’s personality by introducing him/her to the outer world and preparing him/her for the tough life outside the safety of the four walls of the house. A father plays a key role in shaping the future of a child by providing financial security, by fulfilling his/her demands along with preparing the child to be ready to face the competition in the outer world and shine out bright. A father is our friend, philosopher and guide who with his guidance and support prepares the child for the adult life and career. He teaches all the practical aspects of life to the child so that the child could survive in the outer world with confidence and is able to fulfil his/her dreams.

There are a plenty of reasons to feel glad to have a father like the one you have. First in childhood he makes the life a delightful one for his children and when they grow up he gives us so many beautiful memories. Each one of us may have at a point in life felt that, without your father, it would not have been such a beautiful life as it is today. I would like to conclude with the famous saying by Jim Valvano, “My father gave me the greatest gift anyone could give another person, he believed in me. The greatest gift therefore a Father gives to his children is the unwavering faith that a Father shows in his children which is the most important ingredient of human existence.” This day is dedicated to appreciate the care and love that a father showers upon his children and thank the almighty for providing a support system to us in form of father to make our lives better.
