Speech on Annual Gathering

ANNUAL GATHERING SPEECH BY THE PRINCIPAL OF A COLLAGE (ACADEMIC)

The Chief Guest of the occasion, special invitees, guests, staff members and dear students. I feel honoured to extend a welcome to you all on this occasion of the Annual Gathering of our college. I feel proud to lead an institute which is a constant flow of knowledge, intelligence, talent and enthusiasm is witnessed. We have always strived to achieve the summit of success with excellence as our motto and I appreciate the efforts of the staff for the same and enthusiasm of our students to help us achieve our aim.

Along with education, our aim has also been towards shaping and moulding the right characters who in the coming time are going to be the responsible citizens and will contribute their lot in the progress of our country. If these youngsters are not given proper guidance and training at the right time, they may not be able to achieve their dreams. We expect the best for our students and are providing the best facilities and training to them so that they can cherish their lives, their career and most importantly their role as the citizens of this country. We know this fact and our every step is taken in the direction to make our students capable to face all odds in life and come out as winners. We also provide ample opportunities to our students to show and horn their talent in form of various extra and co-curricular activities in our Institute. As a result this year our students not only excelled in academics but also in extra-curricular activities like various inter-college, inter-university competitions as well as sports. Along with the students our staff members have also proved their talent and have achieved many academic achievements like attending seminars, presenting papers, organizing various competitions and seminars for students etc. I congratulate the students and the staff for their accomplishments and wish them luck to continue their strive for excellence.

On this occasion I would like to say that during past few years this Institute has progressed in every field and has surpassed the expectations of all. In educational as well as in extra and co-curricular activities our students have proved their skills and have excelled in various fields. The motto of this Institute has always been to prepare all rounder students and we want our students to develop a habit to excel in everything they do as we firmly believe that “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.” And I am quite confidence that we have achieved excellence so far.

I take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the staff who have supported me in every way and made constant efforts to impart quality education and provide guidance to the students to achieve their dreams. I would also like to thank the trustees who have always supported us in all the possible ways. Let me conclude my speech by thanking the almighty and seeking His blessings to continue our journey towards excellence in academics.

Thank you one and all.
