Phrasal verbs

1.       Ring out:  sound loudly and clearly

2.       Read out: read something loudly

3.       Call out: ask someone to come

4.        Accustom to : make familiar with

5.       Go off: to explode. 

6.       Get up: stand after sitting; kneeling; to rise

7.       Come out: appear

8.       Snatch at: try to take hold of abruptly

9.       Find out: get in formation

10.   Break in: interrupt

 

Examples:

 

Ring out: The church bells rang out across the town to announce the wedding.

Read out: The teacher asked a student to read out the essay to the class.

Call out: She had to call out to her dog to get it to come back to her.

Accustom to: It took a few weeks to accustom the new employee to the company's    procedures.

 Go off: The alarm clock went off at 6:30 AM, waking me up.

 Get up: After a rest, he got up from his chair and stretched his legs.

 Come out: The stars come out at night, making the sky look beautiful.

 Snatch at: She tried to snatch at the falling papers before they hit the ground.

 Find out: I need to find out the time of the meeting so I can plan my day.

 Break in: Please don't break in when others are speaking; it's rude.
