Phrasal Verbs:

1.       Ask for : request that somebody does something

2.       Hand over: Pass on something to another person

3.       Call on: visit someone

4.       Look at : see

5.       Give back: return something

6.       Wave at: raise your hand to say hello or goodbye

7.       Point out: identify

8.       Wake up: become alert and ready

9.       Go back: Return to a place  

10.   Set up: form

 

Examples:

1.       Ask for (To request or demand something): She asked for a glass of water when she got to the restaurant.

 

2.       Hand over (To give or transfer something): He had to hand over the car keys to the new owner.

 

3.       Call on (To request or invite someone): The teacher called on the students to give their presentations.

 

4.       Look at (To direct one's gaze or attention): Please look at this beautiful painting in the gallery.

 

5.       Give back (To return something to its owner): Can you give back the pen I lent you?

 

6.       Wave at (To make a waving gesture as a sign of greeting): She waved at her friend as he approached from a distance.

 

7.       Point out (To indicate or highlight something): He pointed out the mistake in the map that led us the wrong way.

 

8.       Wake up (To rouse from sleep or become alert): I need to wake up early tomorrow for an important meeting.

 

9.       Go back (To return to a previous location or time): Let's go back to the beginning of the story.

 

10.   Set up (To establish or arrange something): They plan to set up a new business in the coming year.
