Laugh At: To think of someone as stupid.
Example: It's unkind to laugh at
someone's mistakes; instead, we should offer support and encouragement.
Figure Out: To finally understand.
Example: After a lot of thought, he
finally figured out how to fix the broken computer.
Break Into: to enter with force.
Example: The burglars attempted to
break into the house, but the security system alerted the police.
Stand Up: To prove to be true.
Example: She stood up when the
national anthem played as a sign of respect.
Burst Out: To suddenly say something.
Example: She burst out in tears when
she heard the sad news about her pet.
Spark Off: To activate, initiate.
Example: The argument between the
two friends sparked off a heated debate on the topic.
