Real Life Experience: Adaptibility

 In groups of four or five discuss the advantages and disadvantages of changing jobs frequently. Support your views with examples of people you know who have changed jobs very often. The group leaders may then report their views to the class.

Advantages of changing jobs frequently:

1. **Skill development**: Moving to different roles can expose individuals to new skills and experiences, enhancing their overall skill set.

2. **Networking opportunities**: Each new job can provide the chance to expand professional networks, potentially leading to new opportunities.

3. **Salary increases**: Switching jobs can often result in higher salaries, especially if the individual negotiates well or moves to a higher-paying industry.

4. **Avoiding stagnation**: Constantly changing jobs can prevent individuals from feeling stagnant or bored in their careers.


Disadvantages of changing jobs frequently:

1. **Lack of stability**: Frequent job changes may lead to a lack of stability in one's career, making it harder to establish oneself in a particular field or company.

2. **Limited depth of experience**: Moving too often might prevent individuals from gaining deep expertise in a particular area, as they may not stay in one role long enough to master it.

3. **Employer perception**: Some employers may view frequent job changes as a red flag, seeing it as a lack of commitment or reliability.

4. **Loss of benefits**: With each job change, individuals may lose out on benefits such as retirement plans, health insurance, and paid time off.


You can discuss these points and then share examples of people you know who have experienced the pros and cons of frequent job changes.
