FY BCOM SEM- I SEC_Advaced Communication Skills in English-I Dialouge Writing : Greetin People and Taking Leave

1. Nita is on her way to her violin class. She meets Dr Prakash, her father's boss, outside the music school. They greet each other and have a short conversation about her music class, studies and family before taking leave. Write a suitable dialogue between Nita and Dr Prakash.


Dr Prakash: Good afternoon, Nita! What a pleasant surprise! What are you doing here?
Nita: Good afternoon, Dr Prakash. I am on my way to my violin class.
Dr Prakash: Oh, that's wonderful. I didn't know you were learning the violin.
Nita: Yes, I joined the music school a few months ago. I have always been interested in music.
Dr Prakash: That's very nice. How are your classes going?
Nita: They are going quite well. I am learning new pieces and practising every day.
Dr Prakash: That's good to hear. How are your college studies going?
Nita: They are also going well. I am trying to balance my studies and music practice.
Dr Prakash: That's a good habit. Please continue to work hard in both areas.
Nita: Thank you, Dr Prakash. I will. How are you doing?
Dr Prakash: I am doing well. Please give my regards to your father.
Nita: Certainly. I will convey your regards to him.
Dr Prakash: It was nice meeting you, Nita. I hope you have a good music class.
Nita: Thank you. It was nice meeting you too. Goodbye, Dr Prakash.
Dr Prakash: Goodbye, Nita. Take care.


2. Abhay runs into Abdul, a friend, at a supermarket. They greet each other and have a short conversation about shopping, their college and their plans for the weekend before taking leave. Write a suitable dialogue between Abhay and Abdul.


Abhay: Hello, Abdul! What a pleasant surprise!
Abdul: Hi, Abhay! Nice to see you here. How are you?
Abhay: I am fine, thank you. How are you doing?
Abdul: I am doing well. I have come to buy some groceries for my family.
Abhay: That's nice. I am also here to buy a few things for home.
Abdul: Are you doing your shopping alone?
Abhay: Yes. My mother gave me a list of things to buy.
Abdul: I see. How are your college studies going?
Abhay: They are going well. We have been quite busy with assignments and internal examinations.
Abdul: Yes, even I have been busy with my assignments. Have you completed yours?
Abhay: Almost. I am planning to finish the remaining work this weekend.
Abdul: That's good. Do you have any plans for the weekend?
Abhay: I may visit my cousin. What about you?
Abdul: I am planning to stay at home and complete my studies.
Abhay: That sounds like a good plan. Anyway, it was great meeting you.
Abdul: Yes, it was nice meeting you too.
Abhay: Take care. See you at college.
Abdul: Sure. See you soon. Goodbye!
Abhay: Goodbye, Abdul!
